Generally Asiatic lions have a scientific name that is Persian Lion. It was founded by an Austrian who is known by Johann N. Meyer. He was a zoologist and on the Asiatic lions in the 1826 first time a report was published by the nam of Felis leo Persicus. Now a days, the breed of Asiatic lion is also known by his scientific name is Panther leo leo. It was kept in the 2017 because of closeness to morphological and molecular genetic matching with Barbary Lion. Presently Gir Forest have become great home town of Asiatic lions where flourishing 650+ lions while the mission was started to conserved the asiatic lions that time only 20 lions were left in the India. This mission was started with Nawab of Junahgarh and britishiers around 1884 after that first lions census made in 1934 by 287 population of lions.

Normally Gir Forest's lions are most prominent attraction for the entire globe but the great ornithologist Dr. Salim ali said the area of Gir is not for lions rather it is for most mesmerizing birds. Some birds are seen very rarely because Gir National Park is a dry deciduous forest therefore the visitors can't see migrating birds all the year. Migrating birds can be seen during winter season which provide them comfort zone to survive. There are various modes to reach at Gir National Park for safari such Road Transport, Train and Air Transport.

Usually Sasan Gir is connected various small airport but the major airpots are Rajkot and Ahmedabad.
5. Nearest railway stations to Gir.
Veraval is most nearest railway station to the Gir which 45km away from the Gir Safari Park. Usually Sasan Gir National Park has own railway station but here, trains come from veraval only.
